Ayurveda & Yoga detox weekends

These are scheduled to tie in with the changing seasons. Please subscribe to AyurvedicYogi news (see tab on Right) to be kept informed as to up and coming Detox weekends for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Next weekend currently booking is 5-7th November 2010. Spaces still left.

Detox, relax and immerse yourself in Ayurveda and Yoga in beautiful countryside outside Bath, and take home a ‘toolkit’ to help you live a more balanced life.   Ayurveda recommends detoxing to eliminate any dosha imbalances that naturally build through the seasons.  November is a good time to prepare for a healthy Winter and ground yourself before the business of Christmas. You’ll learn how to keep the doshas in balance until Spring, with simple home remedies for Winter health. You will also take part in a simple detoxification, with Ayurvedic detox remedies, such as Aloe Vera juice, Trikatu and Triphala to aid a gentle digestive cleanse. Yoga asanas will be tailored for the season, and soothing treatments will be available. You will go home feeling lighter, clearer, energised and inspired!

“I had a blissful weekend, it really DOES feel like the world was escaped for longer than two days and the good effects are definitely still with me (albeit a little more jaded now, trying to work in a noisy office that’s having building work done only a few feet away)… but peace and love remains! Thanks once again for an inspiring and beautifully soul cleansing weekend!”

  • Venue: Littleton Mill, a beautifully restored 17th Century working water mill set in lovely grounds and surrounded by water (The water wheel is turned off for the weekend to ensure peace and quiet!) Click here for more info on the venue including its impressive committment to being sustainable.

You’ll sample simple home remedies, learn how to clean the nose using a neti pot; make face scrubs and masks; and simple fresh chutneys to bring the 6 Ayurvedic tastes to a meal.
  • Consultations: A limited number of individual Ayurvedic consultations are available for those who want to get a more in-depth understanding of health issues.

the treeTestimonials:

“The whole weekend has been amazing- I  didn’t realise how much relaxation and contemplation I would be able to achieve in a weekend. Fantastic setting with a lovely pool wonderful! I feel like I’ve been away for days and days.”

“Overall the weekend was excellent, and difficult to improve upon. The food, yoga, massage were all great, in gorgeous surroundings and I particularly enjoyed the good company, and swapping shared wisdom. Thank you!”

“I loved the yoga which was pitched at just the right level. It was also good to learn how yoga can be incorporated into daily life, and after the weekend my general understanding of yoga has deepened”.

“The location was absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed the walks very much, as well as the view and looking at the stars. The energising and relaxing yoga sessions were pure bliss. The fact that classes were small was also a real bonus. I found the silent mediation walk a very peaceful way to start the though, though would never have thought of it before”.
